JJ Redick, the sharpshooting guard who spent 15 seasons in the NBA, has announced his retirement from the league. Redick, 37, made the announcement via a heartfelt social media post, thanking his fans, teammates, and family for his incredible journey.

"After 15 seasons in the NBA, I've decided to retire," Redick wrote. "It's a decision I've made with a lot of thought and consideration, and I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have played this game at the highest level."

Redick was a five-time All-Star and one of the most prolific three-point shooters in NBA history. He finished his career with 1,950 made three-pointers, ranking 10th all-time. He also averaged 12.8 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game.

"I want to thank my family, my coaches, my teammates, and especially the fans who have supported me throughout my career," Redick wrote. "I couldn't have done it without you."

Redick played for the Orlando Magic, Milwaukee Bucks, Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, New Orleans Pelicans, and Dallas Mavericks during his career. He helped the Clippers reach the Western Conference Finals twice and the 76ers reach the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

"I'm excited for the next chapter in my life," Redick wrote. "I'm looking forward to spending more time with my family, exploring new opportunities, and giving back to the game that has given me so much."
